I fully support any bands attempt to cover a song and put their own spin on it. And this isn’t horrible. However, I think I am so used to the Kate Bush original… and this version is just not living up.

I remember going into Hully Gully, back when Boone had a cool music store, and finding little cassettes that would have all these random 90’s bands on it and they all sounded somewhat like this group.
But they were still highly enjoyable. As is this cover. Nothing can beat the original from Missing Persons, but they do a damn good job of trying.

I could say that it is the glasses and the over-sized flannel shirt that makes this so damn good - but that would be a lie (at least 95% lie…). Her voice is as good as molasses and butter, uneven lines that make the whole picture all the more gorgeous and real. Someone compared her to Neko Case and I do not see that at all… and that is not a negative thing.
