Chains of Love / Black Hearts

I feel like 60’s girl group nostalgia replaced chill-wave for genre of the moment, but no one conquers the 60’s girl group vibe like Vancouver’s Chains of Love. Their debut single was just released via Hi-Scores and the band is scheduled to hit NYC up in June. The B-side of the single is a moody contagious soul number doused with sweeping vocals slumbering on instrumentals that are borderline garage, but mostly some kind of dreamy soul pop vibe. Of course, I don’t know enough about the founding fathers of soul pop, so this is probably the most I can say. As always, just click the play button above. Who reads anyway?
