Landerim - The Black Swarm
When I think of ‘swarm’, I think of bees… An excitable, stinging mass of bees. And that kind of freaks me out.
However, for most of this track, I experience quite the opposite of internal panic. Gorgeous ambient waves of sound that mix with a repetitive background beat is enough to lull me into a real sense of security and of calm.
It isn’t until around the 3:08-ish mark that some of that ‘swarm’ sneaks in there, all metallic and futuristic and suddenly I am reminded of how I just saw the film, Prometheus.
Diggin’ this track big-time. Look for Landerim’s debut release, Shallow Draw, to drop on July the 3rd via Magnetic Eye.
