St. Vincent @ Thomas Wolfe Auditorium - a bit of ‘Your Lips Are Red’
I am still swooning.
Active Child @ Asheville Civic Center
Just a taste.
M83 @ Asheville Civic Center - 99% of ‘Kim & Jessie’
If you can ignore the passing people, that is… Still, good sound & crowd reactions. And this is most definitely my favorite song from M83.
ps - I think that is me yelling in there, too.
Neon Indian @ Thomas Wolfe Auditorium - a taste of ‘6669 (I don’t know if you know)’
Pretty rough video quality since I was moving through rows & semi-dancing along. Touch of feedback, too.
The Drums @ Thomas Wolfe Auditorium - a bit of ‘Book Of Revelation’
Shaky at first but decent sound.
SBTRKT @ Asheville Civic Center
Again, small taste of this duo. Seriously good stuff from them, though. If you don’t know SBTRKT, get on it.
Grimes @ Asheville Music Hall - ‘Vanessa’
Just a wee bit of video. Having limited space on a memory card bites.
Tobacco @ The Orange Peel, October 28th - Moogfest 2011
I had planned on hoofing it to the Civic Center but ended up staying for the whole Tobacco show. Partly because they electro-thrashed their way into my heart… but also to keep morbidly watching their chosen videos on the two screens in the venue.
I never knew so much alien/human porno existed in this world.
So, yea, one crappy photo (if you squint you can see the lovely lady on the synth) and just seconds of Tobacco @ The Orange Peel.
Plus, if you are intrigued: TOBACCO - Melted Hitchhiker
ps - Black Moth Super Rainbow! No wonder I dig Tobacco so much.
Neon Indian @ Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, October 30th - Moogfest 2011
You seriously had to worm your way into this show; talk about crowded! But I played people-chess and got closer and closer. Danced my ass off, too.
The Drums @ Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, October 30th - Moogfest 2011
Great show. Really high energy. When I wasn’t taking pictures, I was dancing in the rows like everyone else.
